What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok,so I tried up-loading some pics to my LIITD gallery and for some reason they wouldn't. Here is a pic of the water washing across the road. We have 70-75 mph winds coming out of the NE.The ferry is not sailing.Wait, I got more................

I may blow away!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe how hard this wind is blowing, It is just howling, the rain is pouring,my windows are leaking. I think I have just started the lyrics to a new country and western song.

Ok so our Week #4 blog challenge with Dorrie was about Facebook.com, have we heard of it,do we use, and if we could find someone from our past who would it be.

I had never heard tell of it until my brother invited me on it to look at some Bolivia pics. I logged on checked out the pics, wrote on my niece's walls and then logged off and forgot my login. I got several invites, they were coming in from every Tom, Dick and Harry..........literally. Some of the people I have never had much contact with in my life, but they saw that I was so and so's friend and the list went on.

If I could find someone it would be two of my classmates. One I haven't seen since graduation and the other maybe once, she is now an RCMP out West I think. I would also try to find my student exchange twin from Sask.

Now off to awake my lazy children for school.

Wow, once again it seems to be forever since I have blogged. I have been doing Dorrie's weekly blog challenges, but the last one kinda slipped me by.

What is new in the sweet life of Julie.........not much.

I did get the chance to go to a crop on Saturday. It was potluck,so I took taco bake and it was a real big hit. I think I will make it for hot lunches at the school. I got a chance to finish 2 MNML that I have been working on ,a sketch challenge and another LO. Now I just need to upload to good ol LIITD.

I am busy getting things organized for the members run crop on LIITD June 16, I do believe. Good stuff is happening over there. So much talent and good ideas from the members. Sometimes they need a little nudge to get them flowing, but then they are good to go. NIce to give the DT a little break from all the planning and behind the scenes preparation. I don't know how they keep up with that stuff, not to mention the monthly things they do.

Well I guess I have been tagged for the first time:) Twice in fact, by Vanessa first and Joce 2nd

Here are the rules:
Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog! OK, here goes:

1. I generally get up in the middle of the night, each night to clean my ears.......little OCD
2. I was the only child born in 1971 on this island, until a girl moved here
3.I always notice nice teeth and symetrically plucked eyebrows........LOL
4.I can not swim and am terrified of the water, and I live on an island
5.I don't eat egg yolk
6.I wanted to be an undertaker........job security is important to me;)
7. If asked I would tell you that I have no talents

Now Jo,Makenna,Ralston,Teri-Lynn,Laura,Boo,and Jenna you have been tagged

LongTime No Blog

Wow, sorry for the long period between posting. I would just get ready to do it and then something else would take place that needed my attention etc.

Hasn't this past week been an emotionally draining week. On Monday the whole island was in shock after the sudden death of David. I think we are still in shock. I wasn't prepared for any of it. The visitation, funeral and everything was so hard of the family and hard on the people like myself that had to stand back and watch and try to come up with some way to offer comfort. You can say what you want, but I am so glad that I knew my dad was dying. I had a great 15 mths with him. We talked, laughed and cried. We had time to tell each other how we felt etc. I know if would of been different if he had of suffered the whole time, but he didn't. Yes, his whole life was changed and ours too,but he was home and happy for the most part.

At LIITD we are doing blog challenges with Dorrie. The last one issued was.....If you could take one thing in your life and do it over, what would it be.

I guess for me it would be that I would of continued on with my Nursing degree. I wouldn't of left 6 mths shy of an awesome career. Why did I do it...........I can't tell you. I can tell you that I loved it, I had honors in all my courses, but it was stressful and I did not deal well with the death and dying, children sick and stuff like that. I took my work home with me. I found myself going back to the hospital to visit sick kids when it wasn't my shift. I couldn't let go.Perhaps it was for the best, I don't think I could work and carry on my motherly duties like I do now. The extra income would be awesome however. With my memory problems since my surgery, I would be liable to overdose someone though.
