The Good and the Bad of my Weekend

Well starting on the good note.........I did get to scrap with a couple of friends, we laughed til we cried and chatted,shared ideas and some new product tips. It was a lot of fun.

Then there was the usual grind of kids fighting,homework problems,and my continuing battle to raise my kids up in the way they should go.........

I run into the local store and the clerk says" I drove by your house the other day and Evan was out playing, I smiled and waved and do you know what he did back"?.................I am so hoping it wasn't that he mooned her or flipped her the bird or something like that. She replies with........"He stuck his tongue out at me". Well I did have a sense of relief,but none of the less, he could of and should of waved and smiled. What ails this kid of mine? Is there a certain point where one should not reproduce because all the decent, kind, loving ,good eggs have been used up? I love this kid with all my heart,but man what a strong willed fellow I have on my hands. I am not sure that I am equipped for this job.

On the way out of Church the Pastor lets the kids reach in his pocket and take a peppermint. He tells Evan to take just one,because he knows that Evan likes to take a handful and then say that he is passing them out to every Tom,Dick and Harry........yeah right. Well Evan reaches in and very quickly deposits his mints into his pocket. When I check..........you bet there are more than one. I make him put the others back and what does he do? He just does the old switcheroo,puts his hand in , makes me think that he puts them back and hauls them right back out again.ARGH!!!!!!!

Then the homework issues with my DD. I am trying to get her to work more independently. I have spoiled her in this area. She needs to think for herself. I feel like it is a battle. She thinks that I am being mean,when I am just trying to help her get prepared for next year when she will have to work more on her own.

One her way to bed, we find out that she was involved in a childhood spat where, she did indeed SPIT!!!!!!!!!! on another kid. I was mortified. She even gave herself away, thinking that it was harmless behaviour. We were not long telling her that that was so wrong on many counts. She was disciplined by dad andn sent to bed, while I sat at the table with my head in my hands thinking what my old English teacher used to say.................." You chose this course"!

It was so nice to see the sun today. It makes me smile, it makes me hopeful for good weather coming our way. It makes me want to chuck the smelly old boots and mittens for this season.

Yay! It's the weekend..........Suppose I will get some scrapping done. For some reason DH brought my last batch of pics in from the van, and now we can't find them. Isn't it strange that the man who never mis-places anything can't find my pictures. I bet it they were some sort of hunting mag. he would know where they were.

So I finished my Nancy Drew game the Haunted Carousel and have moved on to Danger on Deception Island. I decided to kick it up a notch and try Senior Detective. We will see if all the CSI watching will pay off.

Just got word today that Katina Trousdale has slipped into a coma and this will no doubt be the end for her. 32 years just doesn't seem like enough, not fair,and to leave behind a loving husband and three beautiful little girls..............Now that makes me go hmmmmm????? I guess that I will not complain over my stiff neck. Thinking so much of her family. The final outcome would of probably been the same,but man why couldn't they of diagnosed her right the first time and in a timely manner.......makes me go hmmmmmm??????? again.

Just a quick note

Had a crappy sleep last night. I never sleep well the night before I go away. Then I wake up to fog and wet........YUCK. I do believe I see blue sky up above though.

We will be leaving later today for the Bee. I hope all goes well and that Kyle is not to nervous or me for that matter. I just hope that he knows how proud we are of him regardless of how he does. He's the man! I am crazy about this kid:)

Well I hope to check in while I am away. Keep the blogs updated girlies and we will chat when I get home. I will be talking to some of you via phone while I am there.

When Good Pets Go Wrong

Ever watch that show............well since it is such a beautiful day here today my friend Marlene and I decided to take advantage of it and take a walk. Who da thunk we would of been overtaken and stocked by a rooster. Marlene was squealing and holding onto me like I was going to protect her. Never thought I would ever need mace on White Head.....................lol. If it hadn't of stopped charging it would of been air born when it came close enough to me.........A cocket so to speak.

Had a fairly good sleep last night in my new fuzzy sheets. What feels any better than that:) I must of been a bit fuzzy this am ,as I caught myself trying to put Cars toothpaste on my hairbrush..........LOL. True story, and by the looks of my hair,toothpaste may of been just what I needed to stick it down today.

Got the kiddies off to school and then headed out to teach Cubbies. Why is it that my own offspring wants to be the devilish one??????? The evil seed I guess. Oh well next year he will be in school. Look out Ms. Fitzsimmons.

Well I must go do some dishes and tidy up. I will post again if there is anything new and pressing in my somewhat boring life;)

My Premiere Post

Well finally I got this all figured out and I am ready to post. I will try and keep this updated as I hate to check out my favorite blogs to see nothing new has been added...........ahem Miss Nicole:)

I never really got into to blogs until I joined the fab LIITD forum. There was no turning back after that. I have my favorites list full of blogs.

Not much new here other than Spelling Bee preparation. I am very supportive,but quite frankly I can't even pronounce some of these words so how is he going to spell them. I am excited and will be just as pleased and proud of Kyle regardless of the outcome. I will sit and try to remain calm. I hope it won't end up in a cat fight or something. Can't you see me clawing the eyeballs out of the winners mother..................LOL.

Good Land Evan just ran off with a whole block of cheese,enough to keep him bunged up for a year. I must go and retrieve it..............Later Bloggies.
